No Fool'n

Monday, April 1, 2024... an auspicous day to head out on the road. That's what I wrote as the first sentence of a blog post I started that day.

Reflecting now (five days later), perhaps it was not so auspicious! I begin having symptoms of what I naturally assumed was my allergic reaction to being in the Central Valley of California in spring! I ultimately learned that I had been exposed to Covid a few days before leaving home.

My energy level was low, but I was able to stay on my intended itinerary- unwittingly exposing some dear family in the meantime.

I had zero ability to generate blog content for several days --partly from feeling poorly and needing to cope with nasty windstorms.

Doing better in both regards now, so I'll start making a few retrospective entries.

I enjoyed seeing the rare and short-lived, 'green phase' of the East Bay Hills on my way to camp out two nights in my brother and sister-in-law's yard in Merced.

The weather cooperated, so the "campsite" was dry enough.

Friends and family helped me gather and optimize a few special trailer gear items (even 3-D printing a custom refrigerator door lock ) thanks Richard, Anne, and Scott!

Clio seem to settle in to the travel and trailer life routine and enjoyed extra attention from my brother's grandsons and granddog.

A very relaxing start to the trip! The only regret was missing out on the chance to meet Adam Gray in person (I just visited his campaign office). Despite Susan connecting us, the timing was not to be! Ihttps://www.adamgrayforcongress.com/
